Jumper remote locking and starting issues

Evening. I'm having some grief with my 2000 Citroen Jumper diesel. It's showing an error and now the remote locking is completely dead. Also, it won't start unless the key is physically in the ignition. Mileage is only 85798 km. Anyone else seen this? Thinking it's a dodgy cable or plug somewhere.

Sounds familiar. I had similar gremlins with my Jumper. Check the radio signal strength, too. If that's weak, it probably is the antenna mount or the cable connecting it. Did you check the automotive antenna plug?

Thanks for the quick reply! Radio signal is indeed weak. Where exactly was the bad connection on yours? Was it the antenna replacement itself that solved it, or the plug? Want to know where to focus before I start ripping things apart.

For me, it was a pain to find. In the end, I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the bumper antenna cable and the antenna itself needed replacing. Given all the symptoms you described, you might save yourself some time and frustration by doing the same.

Cheers. I appreciate the insight. I was hoping to avoid the workshop, but it sounds like that's the best bet. I'll book it in. They quoted 95€ for the antenna replacement, so not the end of the world. Will report back when it's sorted.
