Jumpy crankshaft sensor issue

Hi, I have a 2004 Citroen Jumpy with a gasoline engine and about 77,000 km on it. Lately, the check engine light keeps coming on. I've noticed the engine feels less powerful, the response is poor, and my fuel consumption seems higher. I took it to a local mechanic, and he mentioned something about a 'crankshaft to camshaft reference value' error. He suspects it might be a defective crankshaft sensor. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I own a Citroen Jumpy as well. I remember facing a similar issue with reference value. Have you checked the timing chain or timing belt? This might be related to your cam sensor as well.

Thanks for the quick reply! How did you resolve the issue? Was it indeed the timing chain or the crankshaft sensor? And how much did it set you back?

I took my Jumpy to a specialized workshop. They confirmed it was the crankshaft sensor. I would recommend you do the same.

Thanks a lot for your help! It turned out to be exactly what you suggested and what the first mechanic suspected: the crankshaft sensor. The final bill came to 340€ including the sensor and labor. I really appreciate your input!
