Jumpy fluctuating cylinder pressure

I've got a 2004 Citroen Jumpy diesel with 165090 km. I'm seeing fluctuating cylinder pressure, higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, and the check engine light. Is this a known issue, or could it be a knock-on effect?

I had something similar with my Jumpy (though mine's newer). Check engine light and the rest. Sounded like piston rings or something nasty. Has anyone looked at the camshaft or spark plugs? Could even be the intake manifold, although less likely. I'd rule out crankshaft damage first though.

When you had this, did you find the cause? I'm thinking of checking the piston rings and intake manifold, but I don't want to waste time.

Mine was weird... a sensor issue causing all the other symptoms. I'd get it on a diagnostic tool at a good workshop. Could save you time and money chasing ghosts.

Thanks for the help; I booked it in. It was a damaged cable, so the repair was 0€.
