Ka Climate Control Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2001 Ford Ka's climate control panel was unresponsive, with an error indicating low heating output and a non-engaging A/C. Initial diagnostics suggested a defective cable or plug connection. The issue was resolved by cleaning corroded electrical connectors behind the climate control panel, restoring functionality.

Thanks for the suggestion. Where exactly is the blower motor resistor located on the Ka, and is it straightforward to test? Any specific tools I might need for that?

On the Corsa, it was behind the glove box, but I don't know about the Ka, sorry. I'm not an expert. Best to take it to a workshop, they will fix it fast.

Thanks anyway! It turned out to be corroded electrical connectors behind the climate control panel. Cleaned them up, and everything's working again. Bill was 95€ Appreciate the input!

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa a few years back. The whole HVAC system just died. Did you check the blower motor resistor? That was the culprit on my Corsa. Sometimes a faulty resistor can cause the whole system to shut down. It's worth a look!
