Ka oil level sensor faulty

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2009 Ford Ka diesel, mileage 151532 km. The error message 'oil level sensor signal faulty' keeps appearing in the speedometer, along with the oil pressure warning lamp. The error is also stored in the error memory. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone encountered something similar?

Interesting. I had a similar problem with my Ka. The oil pressure light was flickering intermittently. Have you checked the sensor itself for any physical damage or corrosion?

Thanks for the quick reply! No, I haven't checked the sensor itself yet. Where exactly is it located and is it easily accessible? Also, was the error message the same?

It's usually located near the oil pan. Yes, the error was the same and I would definitely suggest checking the cable or the sensor itself. In the end, I didn't have the right tools, and I took it to a workshop to resolve it.

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! It seems it's the same problem. I'll inspect the sensor and wiring. If I can't fix it myself, I'll take it to a workshop. They quoted 95€ for the repair, which is acceptable.
