Ka rough idle poor performance

Alright, car gurus, I'm officially stumped! My 2001 Ford Ka with a gasoline engine is giving me fits. It starts horribly, guzzles gas like there's no tomorrow, and the engine feels like it's lost a good chunk of its oomph. Plus, it idles rough as guts, and sometimes just dies at a stop. I'm thinking it might be the injection nozzles, maybe clogged up after 201126 km? What else could it be?

Woah, sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my Ka. Was the uneven idling very pronounced? Did you notice any performance drop?

Dude, yes to both! The idling's so bad the whole car shakes sometimes, and uphill? Forget about it! Barely makes it. Are we talking same problem, same solution?

Yeah, sounds like what I had. In my case, it was a defective injection nozzle, possibly due to clogging. I would suggest that you go to the workshop.

Thanks so much for the tip! Took it to the shop, turns out you were spot on – injection nozzles were the culprits. Dirty as heck! Cost me 515€ for the repair and replacement, but she's running like a dream now.
