Kadjar Air Suspension Failure

I'm having a weird issue with my 2022 Renault Kadjar diesel. It's got about 116,652 km on the clock. The air suspension seems to have completely failed. The car won't lift anymore, and it's leaning to one side. I'm getting an error message on the dashboard, and the headlights are pointing way too low now. There's also a warning light on. I've had a look and the error memory points towards the air suspension compressor. I've checked the obvious stuff, but it all seems fine. I'm wondering if it might be a dodgy cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced anything similar? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds rough. I had almost the same thing happen with my Kadjar a while back. Symptoms were identical: car looking like it was doing the limbo, error lights galore, the whole shebang. I was scratching my head trying to figure it out. Did you check the fuses? It might sound simple, but it’s like when your TV suddenly dies, and it’s just the plug that’s come loose.

Thanks for the quick reply! Good shout about the fuses, I'll definitely check those. When you say 'almost the same thing,' was it definitely the air suspension compressor too? Or something else that caused those symptoms? And did it also point towards the compressor in the error memory?

Yeah, the error codes pointed to the compressor, and the garage confirmed it. Honestly, I wouldn't spend too long trying to fix it yourself. In my experience these things can be hard to pin down without the right tools. I'd book it into a workshop, at least to get a proper diagnosis. Getting to the important bits of the suspension is like performing surgery, so better leave it to a professional.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. Fuses are all fine, so it looks like a trip to the mechanic is in order. They reckon it is a defective cable or plug connection and quoted me 95€ for the repair. Hopefully, that'll sort it out. Thanks again!
