Kadjar Automatic Transmission Problems

I'm having trouble with my 2018 Renault Kadjar diesel. It's got 95369 km on the clock. Lately, the automatic transmission has been acting up. The shifting is all over the place, the transmission indicator light keeps popping on, and it just doesn't shift smoothly like it used to. Sometimes it feels like it's stuck in emergency mode. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Kadjar's automatic gearbox. The shifting became erratic, and the transmission light was a constant companion. Have you noticed anything else unusual, like difficulty starting the car or any electrical glitches?

Now that you mention it, sometimes the car does take a little longer to start than usual, almost like the battery is weak. Could that be related to the transmission problem? It seems odd that a low battery would affect the gearbox.

Yes, that longer starting time is exactly what I experienced. It turned out that undervoltage in the vehicle was indeed messing with the automatic transmission's electronic control unit. I'd recommend getting the electrical system checked out, especially the battery and charging system. A proper diagnosis at a workshop would be best before considering a transmission flush.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out the undervoltage was the culprit. They fixed a faulty connection, and after a transmission oil change (240€), it's shifting perfectly again. Really appreciate the help!
