Kadjar Defective Mass Air Flow Meter

I'm having an issue with my 2018 Renault Kadjar, gasoline engine. At 41955 km, I suspect a defective mass air flow meter (LMM). The engine has begun exhibiting increased fuel consumption and stalls at idle. The check engine light is on, and I've observed smoke during acceleration. It appears a defective mass air flow sensor is the most probable cause.

Hey, that sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Opel Insignia. The check engine light was on, and the engine would sometimes cut out, especially when idling. Did you check the air filter and the air intake? Could be some blockage messing with the air-fuel ratio.

Yeah, it turned out to be the mass air flow sensor in the end. Tried cleaning it, but it didn't help for long. If cleaning doesn't work, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed and replaced. Saved me a lot of headache in the long run.
