Thanks for the input. Regarding the Opel Insignia, was the root cause definitively the mass air flow sensor? I will inspect the air filter and intake as you suggested. If the issue persists, I want to confirm the LMM diagnosis.

Yeah, it turned out to be the mass air flow sensor in the end. Tried cleaning it, but it didn't help for long. If cleaning doesn't work, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it properly diagnosed and replaced. Saved me a lot of headache in the long run.

Hey, that sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my old Opel Insignia. The check engine light was on, and the engine would sometimes cut out, especially when idling. Did you check the air filter and the air intake? Could be some blockage messing with the air-fuel ratio.
