Kadjar fuel pressure regulator issue

My 2016 Renault Kadjar with a gasoline engine is acting up. The check engine light is on, it idles roughly, and power is down. I recently changed the fuel filter. Could that be the problem? Did I mess something up? Has this happened to anyone else after a fuel filter change?

I had a similar issue with my Kadjar – same symptoms: check engine light, rough idle, power loss. Did you notice any pressure drops or error codes related to the fuel system after you replaced the fuel filter? It sounds very familiar.

Pressure drops? I didn't really pay attention to specific readings at the time, just cleared the code and hoped for the best. Can I test for that myself, or should I just take it to a shop?

While you can test fuel pressure, it can be messy and requires specialized equipment. Given the error after you changed the fuel filter and my experience, I'd suggest a workshop visit. The fuel pressure regulator is likely defective. The part cost me about 45€.

Thanks for the heads-up! It turns out the fuel pressure regulator was the issue, just like you said. It cost me 45€ for the part, and the garage fixed it. I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction!
