Kadjar parking aid fault

My 2021 Renault Kadjar with a gasoline engine is showing a parking aid fault at 132478 km. The parking assistant is completely non-functional, and the error memory confirms a fault. It seems like a defective cable or plug connection to one of the parking assist components is the likely culprit. Has anyone experienced similar issues with the control module, rearview camera, blind spot sensors, or ultrasonic sensors on their Kadjar?

Summary of the thread

A 2021 Renault Kadjar is experiencing a parking aid fault, rendering the parking assistant non-functional. The issue is suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection to one of the parking assist components. A similar problem was resolved by identifying a broken wire in a sensor connector, suggesting that a thorough inspection of the wiring or professional diagnosis might be necessary to fix the fault.

I've got a Kadjar too, and I had a similar issue a while back. My parking sensors went haywire, beeping constantly even when there was nothing around. It was super annoying. Did you check the connections to the sensors themselves? Sometimes they can get corroded or damaged by road debris.

I've inspected the accessible connections visually, but I haven't performed a detailed electrical continuity test on each wire yet. Was your issue intermittent, or was it a complete failure like mine? Also, did the error message specify which sensor was causing the problem, or was it a generic parking aid fault?

Mine was intermittent at first, then it became a permanent failure. The error message was pretty generic, just said 'parking assist fault'. Honestly, I didn't have the tools to properly diagnose it, so I took it to a workshop. They found a broken wire in one of the sensor connectors. Might be worth getting it checked out professionally.

Thanks for the insight! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I'll proceed with a more thorough inspection of the wiring, but if I can't pinpoint the issue, I'll take it to a workshop as you suggested. According to them, the eventual repair cost will be 95€. Hopefully, it's a simple fix like yours.
