Kadjar Smartphone Connection Problem

Kadjar 2015 gasoline, smartphone refuses to connect. Diagnostic tool shows error. Restarting phone, Bluetooth, manual – nothing works. Anyone else had this?

I've seen similar issues. Often arises from incorrect pairing or a software glitch. Have you tried deleting the existing pairing on both your phone and the car, and then reconnecting? Also, checked for available software revisions for the infotainment system? Sometimes those contain fixes for Bluetooth connectivity problems.

Thanks! I tried deleting and re-pairing, but not sure about software revisions. How do I check? Can I do it myself, or workshop?

Checking for software revisions can sometimes be done through the car's settings menu, usually under 'System' or 'About'. Depending on the version, it may require a Renault workshop. Given the persistent error memory, it might be beneficial to have them take a look anyway. They can use their diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact cause. It shouldn't be too expensive, even if they have to perform some kind of a reset or load new software. The benefit is knowing the root cause.

Thanks so much! Took your suggestion and booked it in to a Renault workshop who said it was indeed an incorrect pairing. They sorted it for 45€, and it's all working now. I really appreciate your help!
