Kadjar sunblind jammed

Super frustrated! My 2019 Renault Kadjar with a gasoline engine has a jammed sunblind. It won't retract or extend, just stuck solid. The error memory says something about the motor. Has anyone else had this sunshade issue? Any ideas before I throw money at it?

I've got a Kadjar too and had a similar sunblind issue. If the motor is shot, that's likely the culprit. Did the blind start making any weird noises before it failed, or did it just suddenly stop working? Also, is it completely stuck or can you maybe nudge it a little bit by hand? Worth checking before replacing parts!

Thanks for the reply! It didn't make any weird noises at all, just stopped suddenly. I've tried nudging it but it's properly stuck, like something's jammed solid. Given your experience, does it sound like it's definitely the motor then? Was yours doing the same?

Yep, sounds exactly like mine. I tried everything, but in the end, it was the motor. I’d say get it checked out by a workshop. For me they were talking about 330€ to replace the motor, as UV protection is essential. You could try DIY, but fiddling with electrics can be risky, and you'll need the right tools.
