Kadjar transmission fault
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Kadjar diesel with 152,849 km is experiencing engine and transmission warning lights, with error codes indicating a faulty transmission oil temperature sensor. The vehicle occasionally enters emergency mode, with symptoms of slipping, unclean shifts, and grinding noises, especially when hot. A suggested cause is low gearbox oil, which was confirmed and resolved by topping up the oil and replacing the sensor, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Yes, exactly! The rough shifting and grinding noises are much more noticeable after the engine has been running for a while and things heat up. When it's cold, it's not as bad. Did replacing the temperature sensor solve the issue for you, or was there more to it?

In my case, the low gearbox oil level was the culprit. The sensor was just reporting the symptom. I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. Turns out the gearbox oil level was indeed low. They topped it up and replaced the faulty temperature sensor while they were at it. The total repair cost came to 365€. Now it runs like a charm again! Appreciate the help!

Sounds familiar. I had similar overheating problems with my Kadjar. Is the gear shifting especially rough when the engine is hot?
