Kalos Airbag Warning Light
Summary of the thread
A 2002 Chevrolet Kalos owner reported an issue with the airbag warning light staying on. After checking the fuses, which appeared fine, a suggestion was made to inspect the cable and plug connections under the seats, as these can become loose or corroded, triggering the warning light. The owner confirmed that the problem was due to a defective cable, which was repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the suggestion! I did not check the cable and plug connections under the seats yet. Is it difficult to access them, or do I need special tools?

No special tools needed, just a bit of patience. They're usually easy to get to, right under the front seats. But if you are not comfortable doing it, it's always better to go to a workshop, I think it will be safer.

Thanks! I'll check the connections under the seats. If that doesn't fix it, I'll take it to a workshop. The workshop confirmed the cable was defective, and the total repair came out to 95€ Appreciate the help!

Hey, I had something similar happen in my Kalos. It's a real pain, like a flashing neon sign screaming 'expensive repair'. Did you check the cable and plug connections under the seats? Those can sometimes get loose or corroded and trigger the SRS light.
