Kalos electric steering column issue
Summary of the thread
The 2007 Chevrolet Kalos has an issue with the electric steering column adjustment, which is suspected to be due to a cable or plug problem. A similar issue was resolved by checking the connections under the steering wheel trim and ensuring the relevant fuses are intact. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be a defective plug connection, which was fixed by a workshop.

Thanks! Which fuses should I be checking exactly? Is there a diagram somewhere? And where exactly are the connections you're talking about?

It's fuse number 7 and 23 I believe, but check your manual to be sure. The connections are right on the steering column, you need to remove the plastic cover around it. If that doesn't work, you might need to go to a workshop to get it checked properly.

Thanks for the tips! It turned out to be a defective plug connection as suspected. Workshop fixed it for 95€. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Kalos. Check the connections under the steering wheel trim. Give the plugs a wiggle. That fixed it for me, at least temporarily. Did you check the fuses already?
