Steering angle sensor, eh? That's interesting. I hadn't considered that. How did you figure out it was related? Was it also showing up in your diagnostic scan?

The initial scan indicated a lateral acceleration sensor fault, yes. However, further investigation revealed the defective control unit which was impacting multiple systems, including the steering angle. Considering the cost, I'd suggest consulting a trusted workshop for a thorough assessment. The affected control unit is likely defective.

Thanks for the tip! Took it to a workshop as you suggested, and turns out you were spot on. Quoted 1000€ for the repair. They confirmed it's a defective control unit which needs replacing. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue with my Opel Astra. The diagnostic scan pointed to a defective control unit affecting the electronic stability. Have you checked the steering angle sensor? Sometimes a fault there can trigger similar symptoms.
