Kangoo alarm system malfunction

Hello! I also drive a Kangoo, and I remember facing a similar issue with my alarm system a while back. In my case, the alarm would randomly go off, or sometimes not arm at all. Have you checked the battery voltage recently? A weak battery can sometimes cause weird electrical issues that trigger the alarm system.

Yes, even if the battery is strong enough to start the engine, a voltage drop during certain operations can confuse the alarm control unit. I eventually had a technician check the error memory and they told me the alarm system was coded to activate optical locking (indicators). They fixed it at the workshop. I would suggest visiting a workshop.

I went to a local mechanic and they recoded the alarm control unit for 45€. Apparently, the alarm system was indeed set to activate optical locking, which was causing the malfunction.
