Kangoo cooling restricted check engine light
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Renault Kangoo diesel is experiencing issues with a restricted cooling grille, incorrect temperature readings, a check engine light, and slow engine warming. While a fuse issue is considered, the more likely causes are a malfunctioning sensor or thermostat. It is recommended to take the vehicle to a workshop for a proper diagnosis to prevent potential engine damage.

Thanks! I meant a fuse related to the grille, if there is one. I'm not sure where to look or what to check.

Okay, I understand. While a fuse issue is possible, it's more likely to be a malfunctioning sensor or thermostat, given the symptoms you described. Considering the potential for engine damage, I would recommend taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. The repair cost was around 52€ when I had this issue on my own car.

OK, thanks for the advice! I'll take it to a shop.

Greetings! A restricted cooling grille on your Kangoo could indeed cause those symptoms. I've seen similar issues before. Is the grille physically blocked by debris, or are you suspecting an internal issue? And which fuse are you referring to?
