Kangoo Electric Battery Issues

I haven't checked the voltage myself. Where's the best place to test that? And does it need a special bit of kit?

You can test the battery voltage at the battery terminals with a multimeter. A significant drop in voltage during starting, combined with the flickering lights, strengthens the case for a faulty sensor. But to be completely sure, I would go to a workshop.

Took it to a shop and they said battery sensor was defective. Quoted 315€ for the repair. Sounded fair so I told them to go ahead.

I had something similar with my Kangoo. It was a real pain, especially in the winter. Have you checked the battery voltage recently? A low voltage reading could definitely point to a sensor issue. I would suggest you do a thorough battery testing before jumping to conclusions.
