Kangoo engine jerking hissing and stalling

My 2003 Renault Kangoo diesel with 184444 km has the check engine light on and jerks during acceleration. I also hear a whistling sound with a loud hissing when accelerating, and it occasionally stalls at idle, leading to higher fuel consumption and reduced engine power. Could a bad boost pressure sensor cause these issues? I suspect a defective cable or plug connection.

I had similar symptoms with my Kangoo: check engine light, loss of power, and some weird noises. It could very well be related to the boost pressure. A boost leak can cause the check engine light to come on and affect your engine's performance significantly.

Yes, the hissing was definitely there, and I experienced occasional stalling too. It's difficult to pinpoint the exact location without proper equipment. I recommend taking it to a workshop to have the sensor and its connections professionally inspected. It cost me around 95€ to get it fixed.
