Kangoo Injection System Issue

I am experiencing issues with my Renault Kangoo, built in 2021, equipped with a diesel engine. With a mileage of 171746 km, I suspect a problem with the injection system. The symptoms include higher fuel consumption, reduced engine power, the engine stalling at idle, and noticeable smoke when accelerating. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?

Those symptoms definitely point towards a fuel issue. Have you checked for any obvious fuel leaks, especially around the injectors and fuel lines? Also, when was the fuel filter last changed? A clogged filter can cause similar problems with power and fuel delivery.

I have not observed any visible fuel leaks. The fuel filter was replaced approximately 20,000 km ago. Is there anything else I should inspect related to the injection system?

Okay, 20,000 km on the filter should be fine. Since you're not seeing leaks, and based on those symptoms, it could well be a defective cable or plug connection with the injection system component as the likely cause, a garage will be able to confirm. I think I'd suggest taking it to a workshop.

Thank you for the insights. I followed your advice and took the vehicle to a workshop. The diagnosis confirmed a defective plug connection within the injection system, a minor issue that was repaired. The total cost was 95€.
