Kangoo NOx Sensor Failure

My 2011 Renault Kangoo gasoline engine is giving me headaches. The check engine light is on, and the error memory shows a NOx sensor failure. I've also noticed an exhaust leak. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hey, I have a Kangoo as well. I had a similar issue not too long ago. Check engine light and all. Was it affecting your pollution control, or just the light?

Thanks for the quick response! Regarding pollution control, I am unsure. Is there an easy way to check without specialized equipment? I would like to avoid going to the workshop if at all possible.

Well, mine started affecting the emissions readings, and that's when I knew I had to take it in. Considering you have an exhaust leak too, I'd say bite the bullet and get it checked. Could be a simple fix, could be worse.

Appreciate the advice. I followed your suggestion and took it to a workshop. Turns out it was a faulty NOx sensor cable, just as I suspected. Repair cost me 95€. Thanks again!
