Kangoo Oil Pressure Light Engine Noise

Hi, I've got a 2018 Renault Kangoo diesel with about 83k km on the clock. Recently, the oil pressure warning light has been coming on, and there's a pretty worrying mechanical noise from the engine. I've checked the oil level, and it's fine. I was thinking maybe the oil pressure sensor is faulty, or perhaps it's time for an oil change even though it's not strictly due yet. Could a clogged oil filter cause this? I haven't noticed any oil leakage either, so I'm a bit stumped.

I had a similar issue on my Kangoo. Have you considered the oil pump?

Interesting. What were your symptoms, and what was the fix? Was it definitely the oil pump, and what was the damage?

The symptoms were identical: oil pressure light and engine noise. It was the oil pump. I advise you to visit a workshop to confirm the issue. I ended up paying around 755€ for the repair.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like I need to brace myself. I'll get it checked out ASAP. Hopefully, it's just the pump and not something more serious like the engine bearings. Will post a report after the workshop visit.
