Kangoo Outside Temperature Sensor Issues

Thanks for the tip! I think it's behind the front bumper, too, just like on your Astra. Was the corrosion obvious, or did you need to clean the connector to really see it? Did you replace the sensor in the end?

The corrosion wasn't immediately obvious, to be honest. I only noticed it after unplugging the connector and taking a closer look. There was some white residue built up on the pins. I tried cleaning it, but the reading was still erratic. Ultimately, yes, I did end up replacing the sensor. It was a pain to get to, but not too expensive. After that, all was good.

Right, makes sense. I'll check the connector first thing tomorrow and give it a good clean. If that doesn't do the trick, I'll probably just replace the sensor. I'm not thrilled about crawling around under the car, but 95€ in repair costs sounds doable. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience!

I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Outside temp reading was way off, and it messed with the climate control. In my case, it turned out to be corrosion on the sensor connector. Where is the sensor located on the Kangoo? On my Astra it was behind the front bumper and prone to getting splashed with road grime and salt!
