Kangoo parking sensor fault

I'm writing concerning my 2005 Renault Kangoo with a gasoline engine. The parking assist is non-functional, and an error is stored. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Oh man, that sounds frustrating! I HATE electrical gremlins! Do you mean none of the parking sensors are working at all? Front and rear? When you say 'error memory' is that something you read with one of those OBD things? I'm just trying to figure out if it's the radar sensors themselves, the proximity sensors, or maybe even something to do with the rearview camera if you have one. Could also be those blind spot sensors if your Kangoo has 'em. Ugh, good luck!

Yes, all parking sensors are inactive. The error memory was read using an OBD diagnostic tool. Do you have any specific advice on how to further isolate the potential faulty wiring?

Ah, okay, all of them. That does sound like either a power issue to the whole system or a main computer failure. Well, I'm not super comfortable poking around in wiring myself to be honest. I'd be worried about shorting something important! If it were me, I would just take it to a workshop to be checked out. Sorry I can't be more help!

I appreciate your input. I took the vehicle to a workshop for diagnosis. The issue has been confirmed as defective wiring. The repair cost is estimated at 95€.
