Kangoo rough idle error code
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Renault Kangoo diesel is experiencing rough idling and has a stored error code at 232,289 km. The problem may be due to a defective engine mount or a faulty cable/plug. Vibrations during startup suggest the engine mount could be the issue. It is recommended to have the vehicle inspected at a workshop, as replacing a failed mount resolved a similar problem for another owner.

Vibrations, yes, particularly when starting. I did not check for play by moving the engine, though. Was it indeed the engine mount that was at fault? How did you diagnose it, and what was the extent of the damage?

Vibrations during startup solidify my suspicions. I can't definitively diagnose your Kangoo, but my issue was resolved by replacing a failed mount. Given the error code and symptoms, I recommend having it inspected at a workshop. My repair was around 95€.

Thanks for the advice. Your experience has been invaluable! I've booked an appointment with a mechanic to inspect the engine mount thoroughly. Hopefully, a simple replacement will solve the issue.

I also own a Kangoo. Uneven idling and error codes could point to a motor mount issue, especially with that mileage. Are you experiencing any unusual vibrations, particularly during acceleration or deceleration? Did you check for play by moving the engine?
