Kangoo Transmission Oil Pressure Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault Kangoo exhibited issues with the engine and transmission warning lights, accompanied by a 'transmission oil pressure sensor fault,' gearbox slipping, clunky shifts, and grinding noises. The problem was suspected to be either a faulty sensor or a major gearbox issue. It was suggested to check the gearbox oil level, as low oil could cause these symptoms. After confirming low oil and topping it up, the vehicle's performance returned to normal, resolving the issue.

Where do I check the gearbox oil level? Is there a dipstick, or do I need to find a fill plug? And what kind of oil does it take?

No dipstick. Locate the fill/level plug on the gearbox itself – usually on the side. A Haynes manual is your friend. If you're not comfortable, take it to a workshop. Might save you a bigger headache. Could be just low oil, but better safe than sorry.

You were spot on! The shop confirmed the gearbox oil was low. They topped it up, cleared the fault code, and everything's running smooth again. Cost me 365€ for the check and top-up, which is way better than a new gearbox! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I had something similar with my Kangoo. Same fault code. First thing I'd check is your gearbox oil level. Low oil can cause the pressure sensor to throw a fault and trigger those symptoms. Have you checked that?
