Karoq outside temperature sensor issues

Thanks for the quick reply! I did check the fuses; all seem fine. The vehicle temperature gauge seems to be reading ok, but I've got the error in the memory, plus the air con issue and mirror heating not working. When you had the same problem, was it definitely the outside car temperature sensor itself that was faulty, or could it have been the wiring? And was it a big job to fix?

Yep, the symptoms are almost identical to what I experienced. I wouldn't mess with sensor calibration just yet. In my case, it turned out to be a corroded connection to the car temperature sensor. Honestly, unless you're confident with electrics, I'd suggest getting a workshop to take a look. They'll be able to properly diagnose the cable and plug connection and replace the sensor if needed.

Took it to the workshop, and you were spot on! It was indeed the car temperature sensor cable that was faulty. Sensor replacement and labour cost me 95€. All working perfectly now. Air conditioning is back, and no more frozen spray nozzles. Thanks a bunch for your help!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Karoq, though I can't remember exactly what the mileage was. The air conditioning refusing to switch on was a major clue. Have you checked the basics like fuses? If the vehicle temperature gauge is also acting up, it really does point to that car temperature sensor. Did you do any sensor diagnostics yourself?
