Kicks Emergency Call System Error

I am experiencing an issue with the emergency call system in my 2018 Nissan Kicks with a gasoline engine. The vehicle has 41079 km. I am receiving an error stored in the error memory, a corresponding error message in the speedometer, and a warning light is illuminated in the speedometer. Could this be related to a defective cable or plug connection?

SOS signal issues, huh? Is the error consistent, or does it come and go? Diagnostic codes would definitely help narrow it down. Could be a control module glitch, but hard to say for sure.

By 'diagnostic codes', do you mean the specific error codes I can retrieve using an OBD-II scanner? I haven't checked that yet. Is that the recommended next step?

Yep, an OBD-II scanner should give you a code. If you're not comfortable troubleshooting further, I'd advise taking it to a workshop; messing with car safety systems isn't usually a good idea, especially if the error is consistent.

Thank you for the advice. An inspection at a workshop confirmed a defective plug connection. The repair cost was 95€. The emergency call system is now working correctly.
