Kix AC Not Cooling
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Nissan Kix has an AC problem where the system isn't cooling or switching on. The AC relay was checked and found to be fine, leading to suspicion of faulty valves within the AC system. After consulting a mechanic, it was confirmed that some valves had indeed failed, which required repair.

The blower is working fine, but the air isn't cold. It's as if the compressor isn't engaging. Did replacing the temp control fix the issue entirely in your case?

Yes, replacing the temperature control unit fixed my BMW's AC problem. However, given your compressor isn't engaging, it sounds more like a valve issue. Honestly, I would take it to a workshop. AC work can be a pain.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to my local mechanic, and it turns out that some valves in the AC system had failed. Total repair cost was 1000€. Appreciate the input!

I had a similar AC issue on my old BMW 3 series. The blower motor was fine, but the temperature control seemed to be the culprit. Is yours blowing any air at all?
