Kix Battery Draining

Thanks for the tip! I'll check the terminals first thing in the morning. The battery is about 3 years old, so it's not brand new, but I wouldn't expect it to be completely dead yet. Is it possible the battery sensor itself is faulty and causing a parasitic drain even with good terminals and a decent battery?

Yes, absolutely. On my Kix, the problem was indeed the battery sensor. It was causing a constant, slow drain on the battery. Although cleaning the terminals might help temporarily, if the problem persists, I recommend getting the battery sensor checked out by a workshop.

You were right! Took my Kix to the shop, and it turned out to be the battery sensor. They replaced it, and the error message is gone, the lights are bright again, and the car starts without hesitation. Cost me 315€ all in. Thanks again for the help!

I had something similar happen with my Kix. Check your battery terminals first to make sure they're clean and tight. A loose or corroded connection can cause all sorts of electrical gremlins. Also, how old is your battery? A failing battery can also mimic sensor issues.
