Kix Power Window Reset
Summary of the thread
After a battery replacement on a 2008 Nissan Kix, the power windows stopped working, with diagnostics indicating an error related to window regulator initialization. A suggested solution was to hold the window switch up to recalibrate the motor, but this did not resolve the issue. Ultimately, professional intervention was required to initialize the regulators, which successfully restored window functionality.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks, I tried holding the switch up, but it didn't work. Could you give me more details on the reset you did, or any other steps you tried?

Okay, it might be more complex than what I had. A simple reset fixed mine. If that didn't work, I'd suggest a workshop. They'll have the tools to initialize the regulators or find any other problems with the motor or electronics.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and they said the regulators needed professional initialization after the battery change. It cost 290€, but the windows are working now. I appreciate the help.

KIX

I have a Kix and had something similar happen after some electrical work. The window regulators probably need a reset after losing power. Did you try holding the window switch up after it's fully closed? That sometimes recalibrates the motor.
