Koleos Oil Temperature Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Koleos owner experienced a warning light indicating an engine oil temperature sensor issue, with occasional oil pressure lamp activation. The problem may stem from a defective cable or plug connection. A similar case suggested checking for corrosion or damage in the connections, and a workshop visit confirmed the issue was with the cable, leading to a sensor and plug replacement. The owner plans to have a workshop inspect the connections and sensor, hoping for a simple fix.

Thanks for the quick reply! Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you have to take it to a workshop?

I tried to fix it myself, but the plug was really stuck. I had to go to the workshop, they confirmed it was the cable, replaced the sensor and the plug, and it cost me 95€. I would advise you to do the same.

Alright, thanks for the advice! I'll take it to a workshop and have them check the connections and sensor. Hopefully, it's just a faulty connection and nothing more serious. I'll post the result when I have it.

I had similar symptoms on my Koleos, but it didn't show the oil pressure lamp. The error memory also pointed to the oil temperature sensor. Check the cable and connections thoroughly for corrosion or damage. It is very likely the source of your problems.
