Koleos rough running and stalling

My 2019 Renault Koleos gasoline with 219000 km is running rough and sometimes stalls when idling. The check engine light is on, and it feels like the car is jerking when I accelerate. I've checked some basic stuff, but could a defective cable or plug connection be the cause?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Koleos. Rough running and stalling are no fun. Have you checked the ignition coils? That was the culprit for me. Does it feel like a misfire?

Ignition coils, huh? I haven't checked those specifically. Where are they located, and is there an easy way to test them without special tools? Also, what do you mean by "misfire"?

A misfire is when one or more of your cylinders isn't firing properly. Regarding where they are located and how to test them - it's best to take it to a workshop if you're not sure. Seriously, you could end up doing more harm than good. Better safe than sorry!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and it turned out to be a defective ignition coil, just like you suspected. The final repair bill was 95€, including the new coil and labor. Runs like new now!
