Koleos Transfer Case and ABS Issue

My 2010 Renault Koleos diesel is exhibiting a transfer case issue. At 213078 km, the gearbox occasionally slips and shifts erratically, accompanied by a 'limp home' mode activation. Diagnostics point toward consequential faults stemming from a potential ABS system malfunction. Has anyone encountered similar 'powertrain malfunction' and 'gear selector' problems?

I had a similar issue with my Koleos. Is the 'limp home' mode consistently active, or does it come and go? It sounds like your transfer case control module might be acting up. ABS can definitely cause some weird knock-on effects. Is the ABS light illuminated on the dashboard?

The limp mode isn't constant; it's intermittent. ABS light is indeed illuminated. Did you manage to resolve the problem entirely, and what was the process involved?

Yep, similar symptoms. Intermittent limp mode, ABS light on. I'd strongly advise getting the ABS and transfer case properly checked at a workshop. Could be sensors, could be the module itself. Best not to risk further damage to the gearbox.

Understood. I appreciate the insight. I'll schedule a thorough diagnostic check. As it turned out, a wire that runs to the ABS module was chafed through, causing the error. I was able to repair the chafed wire myself, thus the repair cost was 0€.
