Kubistar knock sensor issue

Good to know I'm not alone! Which wires exactly did you mean? I checked the plug connection, but I didn't see any corrosion. Was the sensor hard to get to on your Kubistar? Any tips before I dive deeper?

Yeah, the plug looked fine on mine too at first. It was only when I took it completely off and cleaned it up that I saw the corrosion hiding underneath. Honestly, if you're not seeing anything obvious, and you've already checked the basics, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. Could save you a lot of time and hassle. It cost me around 95€ to fix.

Thanks a bunch for the advice! I took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turns out the cable or plug connection of the component was indeed defective. They cleaned everything up, and now it's running like a dream. Fuel consumption is back to normal, and the check engine light is gone. You saved me a ton of time and potential headaches!

I had a similar issue with my Kubistar. Check engine light, rough idle... sounds familiar. Was it throwing any specific codes? Mine turned out to be a faulty knock sensor. Where did you wiggle the wires? The connection to the sensor itself can get corroded.
