Kubistar Rail Pressure Sensor Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2004 Nissan Kubistar, gasoline engine. The check engine light keeps popping on, and the engine occasionally stalls when idling. It's also lost some power. I've scanned it and I'm getting a 'rail pressure sensor signal faulty' error with 91131 km on the clock. Could it be a defective pressure sensor? Anyone seen this before?

That sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Peugeot 207. Same symptoms, check engine light and all. The error pointed towards the pressure sensor too. Did you check the wiring and connections to the sensor before condemning the sensor itself?

Wiring and connections, huh? Good point. I just assumed it was the sensor itself. Where exactly should I be looking for potential issues in the wiring? Is there a common spot where they tend to fail?

On my Peugeot, it was corrosion on the connector pins. Check for any signs of damage or loose connections first. But honestly, after checking the wiring and finding nothing obvious, it still pointed to a faulty sensor. Ended up just taking it to a workshop to get it sorted. Cost about 240€.

Thanks for the info! I'll double-check the wiring like you suggested, but it sounds like I might be heading to the shop anyway. At least I have an idea of what to expect. Really appreciate the help!
