Kubistar rough running engine

My 2006 Nissan Kubistar diesel engine runs roughly, and the check engine light is on. Error memory says 'reset quantity drift compensation'. Mileage is 187615 km. Could a defective injector be the cause?

Hey! I had a similar issue with my Kubistar. Rough running and the check engine light – sounds familiar. 'Reset quantity drift compensation' basically means the car's computer is trying to adjust the fuel injection because it thinks something's off. Have you noticed any changes in your fuel economy lately?

Thanks for your reply. I haven't specifically monitored fuel economy, but the error message and rough running suggest a problem. Is the injection valve the likely culprit, and can I perform a system reset myself?

I wouldn't recommend tackling the system reset yourself unless you're very confident with car sensors and performance tuning. In my case, it turned out to be a faulty injector. The garage confirmed it with diagnostics and recommended replacement. I ended up paying 515€ for the repair. Best to get it checked by a professional, I think.

I appreciate your insight. It seems a visit to the workshop is necessary. Thanks for confirming the likely cause and the potential cost. I will post the outcome once the repairs are done.
