Kubistar warning lights and oil pressure issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Nissan Kubistar showed oil pressure warning lights despite having sufficient oil. The problem was suspected to be oil sludge or overdue maintenance. It was recommended to check the last oil change date and consider an oil change even without engine noise. A workshop visit confirmed that the engine oil was contaminated due to exceeding the maintenance interval, and an oil change fixed the problem.

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't remember when the last oil change was, but it's been a while. The engine isn't making any strange noises. Do you think it's still just the oil, even without the noise?

Yep, could still be the oil. I didn't have any noises either, just the lights. If you are unsure when the last oil change happened, I'd suggest visiting a workshop to get it checked to avoid potential engine issues.

Thanks a lot for your help! I took it to the workshop, and you were right; the engine oil was contaminated, probably exceeding the maintenance interval. They did an oil change and filter replacement. The final repair cost was 165€. All good now!

Hey! I had similar symptoms in my Kubistar. Could be oil sludge. Have you checked when the last oil change was? Maybe it's time for an oil change, and the maintenance interval exceeded. Is the engine noisy?
