I was leaning that way. Where should I look for the plug connection? Any diagrams I can reference?

It's usually near the sensor, often behind the dash or console. Given the symptoms and error, a defective cable or plug connection is most likely. Taking it to a workshop would probably be quicker and easier.

You were right! The workshop found a loose connection on the interior temperature sensor. Cost 95€ to fix. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

A faulty interior temperature sensor sounds likely, given those symptoms. Have you checked the wiring and plug connection to the sensor? A loose or damaged connection is a common issue.
