Kuga Auxiliary Battery Issues

I've got a 2020 Ford Kuga with a diesel engine, about 197000 km on it. Seems like the auxiliary battery is failing. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer, an error logged in the system, weak starts, and general electrical issues. It looks like the auxiliary battery isn't charging properly. Anyone else had this?

Greetings! I have a Kuga as well, and your symptoms sound incredibly familiar. I also had the error message and starting issues. Was your power management acting up, too? Like the radio cutting out randomly?

Indeed, the power management has exhibited similar irregularities. The radio does, in fact, cut out intermittently, and the interior lights occasionally dim unexpectedly. Could you elaborate on the specifics of the issue you encountered and any diagnostic steps you may have undertaken?

Alright, so it's almost certainly the same thing. Honestly, I didn't do much diagnosing myself beyond checking the obvious fuses. I took mine straight to a workshop, fearing a complete electrical meltdown. They confirmed it was the auxiliary battery not charging and recommended a replacement. Best to get it checked!

I appreciate the insight. Based on your recommendation, I shall schedule an appointment with a trusted workshop for a comprehensive diagnostic assessment and potential auxiliary battery replacement. The estimated repair cost I received is approximately 290€. Thank you for your time and expertise.
