Kuga Blower Motor and AUC Sensor Issue

Hi, I have a 2008 Ford Kuga, gasoline engine, with 121696 km. My blower motor isn't working. I suspect it might be the AUC sensor – perhaps a bad connection?

The blower issue and your suspicion of the AUC sensor might be connected. The AUC sensor, sometimes referred to as an odor sensor or air conditioning sensor, provides input to the HVAC system. A defective cable or plug is often the culprit. Have you checked the wiring harness and connector pins for corrosion or damage?

Thanks! Where exactly is the AUC sensor located on the Kuga? Is it difficult to access?

On the Kuga, the AUC sensor is typically located near the fresh air intake, often behind the front bumper or near the windshield wipers. Access can be a bit fiddly, similar to checking a boost pressure sensor on a turbo. Given the symptoms and potential location, it might be best to have a workshop diagnose the connections properly to avoid further complications. 95€ should cover it.

Appreciate the help. Took it to a shop, and you were spot on: faulty connection at the AUC sensor. All fixed for 95€.
