Laguna AC failure

Hi. I'm having serious AC issues with my 2015 Renault Laguna diesel. It's completely dead. The entire system doesn't even switch on. I've checked fuses, but they're fine. I've heard it could be faulty valves. Has anyone experienced something similar? I'm dreading the repair bill… I am afraid it will cost around 1000€.

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Laguna, though it sounds expensive. Have you checked the pressure switch? Sometimes a refrigerant leak can trigger that, which disables the whole system to protect it. Also, any weird AC noise before it stopped?

Thanks! Where exactly is the pressure switch located? And what kind of weird noises should I have been listening for? I didn't really notice anything, but now I'm second-guessing.

It's usually near the condenser, spot it by electrical connection. If you're not sure, I'd avoid messing with the refrigerant lines yourself. Regarding noise, like a rattling. But what you describe points to valve problems, especially if the system isn't even turning on. So, I'd take it to a workshop before doing more damage.

Okay, thanks! I'll take it to a trusted workshop and mention the pressure switch and potential valve issues. Hopefully, they can diagnose it quickly. I appreciate the help!
