Land Cruiser rough idle and stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser is experiencing hard starts, increased fuel consumption, reduced power, rough idle, and occasional stalling. The initial suspicion was a problem with the injection nozzle system, possibly a clogged valve. A suggestion was made to try a fuel injector cleaner, but ultimately, a mechanic confirmed a defective injection nozzle, which was then replaced to resolve the issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks for the quick reply. What specific fuel injector cleaner did you use, and how did you apply it? Did you notice any side effects?

Honestly, I just grabbed whatever injector cleaner was on the shelf at the auto parts store. Poured it in with a full tank of gas, like the bottle said. Didn't really fix it completely though. Ended up taking it to a mechanic, and they confirmed a dirty injector was the problem. Best to get it checked out properly!

Thanks for the help. I took it to a shop, and they confirmed a defective injection nozzle and replaced it. Total cost was 515€.

Whoa, that sounds rough! I had something kinda similar happen with my Land Cruiser (don't remember the exact year). Hard starts and the engine just didn't feel right. Have you tried any fuel injector cleaner? Might be worth a shot before diving into anything major.
