LandCruiser reduced engine power

I've got a 2021 Toyota LandCruiser with a gasoline engine that's throwing me for a loop. It's got 164763 km on the clock. I'm experiencing significantly reduced engine power, and the error memory is showing a fault. Anyone else run into something similar? I suspect it might be related to the control system, but I'm not sure where to start.

I had something similar happen on my LandCruiser. Check your main relay. Those ECU problems can be tricky, and a dodgy relay can cause all sorts of weirdness. Is the check engine light on?

Thanks for the tip! Which main relay are you referring to exactly? And did you also have reduced engine power as your primary symptom? I'm wondering if a system reset might help, but I don't want to make things worse.

Yeah, the main engine control relay. And yep, reduced power was the first thing I noticed. A reset probably won't fix it if the relay is failing. You’re better off taking it to a workshop to have it diagnosed properly.

Thanks! Took it to the workshop, and you nailed it – the main relay was defective. They replaced it for 120€, and it's running like new again. Appreciate the help!
