LandCruiser transfer case limp mode ABS fault

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2020 Toyota LandCruiser diesel. It has 117404 km. The transfer case seems to be in limp mode and the gearbox slips and shifts rather uncleanly. Could this be related to a fault in the ABS system, causing consequential problems?

I had similar symptoms on my LandCruiser. Torque converter issues can cause the transmission to act up. Have you checked for any powertrain malfunction alerts or diagnostic trouble codes? It might be worth investigating.

I'm not very experienced. Could you explain what I should look for regarding the powertrain malfunction and diagnostic trouble codes?

The error can manifest as a 'limp home' mode, restricting speed and power. The fault codes should give you some clues, but I'd recommend consulting a workshop and having them run a full diagnostic to pinpoint the root cause. I went through that, and it was complex to solve.

I took it to a local independent workshop. As it turns out, after troubleshooting, there was a fault within the ABS system, and it was causing the transfer case to go into limp mode. It was a warranty issue, and it was covered 100% by the manufacturer, so the repair cost me 0€. Thanks again!
