Thanks for the reply. I haven't checked the wiring harness yet, but I'll take a look. Was your BMW showing similar symptoms like the paddle shifters not working or the gearbox going into emergency mode? And what was the final verdict on your car?

Indeed. The symptoms were quite similar, including the emergency mode engagement. Ultimately, the workshop technicians confirmed that the control module was indeed defective and necessitated replacement. Given the diagnostic information you have acquired, it may be prudent to consult with a qualified automotive technician for a comprehensive evaluation.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I appreciate the advice. I took it to my local workshop, and they confirmed the defective control unit diagnosis. The repair will cost around 1000€, but hopefully, this will sort it out.

Good day, I am sorry to hear about the troubles you are experiencing with your Toyota LandCruiser. I encountered a somewhat analogous issue with my 2016 BMW 5 Series. The automatic gearbox would exhibit erratic behavior, and the diagnostic reports also pointed towards a control module issue. May I inquire, have you inspected the wiring harness connected to the transmission control unit for any signs of physical damage or corrosion?
