Latitude Cylinder Pressure Fluctuation

My 2011 Renault Latitude diesel is showing cylinder pressure fluctuation at only 77270 km. Fuel consumption is up, power is down, and the check engine light's on. I suspect it's a consequential error, but where to even begin? Turbocharger, timing belt, crankshaft, piston rings, spark plug all seem fine on initial inspection.

Wow, pressure fluctuations are nasty. Since you think it's a secondary issue, have you hooked it up to a proper diagnostic tool? Generic OBD readers often miss the real culprit. Any recent work done, or odd noises beforehand? Rule out the basics before tearing into things!

Good shout about the diagnostic tool. I've only used a basic reader. Which parameters should I be monitoring specifically besides the obvious cylinder pressures? Is there a specific value to look out for, like a voltage?

Exactly! A Renault-specific diagnostic tool is essential. Monitor fuel trim, MAF sensor readings, and turbo boost pressure alongside cylinder pressures. It really does sound like a trip to a workshop is in order. It could be almost anything.

Thanks. I'll get it on a pro-level diagnostic. As suspected, the check engine light went out, and the engine runs normal now. False error and the cylinder pressure is fine as well. Time saved!
