Thanks for the suggestion. How did you approach testing the charging system? Did you focus on specific components? What were your readings, if you remember?

Honestly, I don't have the equipment to properly test the charging system, and I didn't want to start replacing parts blindly. I took my Insignia straight to the workshop after checking basic things myself, and they confirmed it was the generator. Given your symptoms and stored error, a workshop visit might be best.

Understood. I appreciate the insight. I visited a workshop, and the generator was indeed defective. The repair cost 960€.

I had similar issues with my 2014 Opel Insignia. Weak lights, hard starting, dashboard lit up. I initially suspected the battery or starter, but the serpentine belt was fine. Have you checked the charging system?
